Jeff Barger, Pastor 

We welcome our new Pastor Jeff Barger and his wife Lori.

Pastor Jeff Barger was born on October 19, 1960, in Hanford, CA, to parents Jeff H. and June Barger. He was born again on Easter Sunday, 1969. Jeff graduated from Laton High School, Laton, CA, in 1978. He grew up in and has spent the greater part of his life in the Central Valley of California.

Jeff was married to his wife, Lori, in 1979, and God blessed this union with three great children; Kyle, Amanda and Kathy. After his salvation, he considers his wife and children the highlights of his life.

After a career in the heavy equipment repair industry and operating a successful business, Jeff answered God’s call to the ministry in 1995. Shortly afterwards, he enrolled in the Tulare Missionary Baptist Seminary, Tulare, CA, from which he received the Doctor of Theology degree in 2010. Jeff has also served as an instructor for Tulare MB Seminary, as well Vice-President. In addition to Grace MBC, Livermore, CA, the Lord has blessed him to pastor churches in El Nido, CA, Paso Robles, CA, and Wasco, CA. He also served two years as Assistant Pastor of the Tulare Missionary Baptist Church, Tulare, CA.

Jeff is passionate about teaching the Bible, and he takes great satisfaction in helping others understand the timeless truths of the Word of God. Another passion of his life is writing on theological subjects. Jeff has published two books: The Kingdom Parables: Reason, Reality and Rest, and, As You Go: The Great Commission, Another Look. He considers it a great honor to serve Grace MBC as Pastor.
